Protects test receiver and spectrum from high pulses

The pulse limiter LIMI-10 protects the RF inputs of receivers and spectrum measurement for EMC measurements. For detecting interference voltage with network simulation or coupling networks, a high-energy pulses of up to 100 mWc appear. Such pulses can destroy expensive attenuator and RF input circuits in spectrum analyzers and test receivers, and (especially in spectrum analyzers) they are responsible for unwanted clipping.

The pulse limiter LIMI-10 attenuates the RF signal from 10 dB and limits the pulse peaks. The plan is to use between 9 kHz and 30 MHz. The insertion loss is in the critical frequency range constant at 10 dB + / - 0.1 dB (f <8 MHz) and 10.7 dB + / - 0.6 dB (f <30 MHz). The max. continuous power is 1 W.

The ripple is very low, he is at the entrance <1.07 and at the output <1.2. The small design allows the direct attachment to the RF input connector of the measuring receiver or spectrum analyzer. The BNC connectors allow the direct grinding between LISN and the measuring instrument.
