BO-35

Universal and individual adjustable reception technology by boger electronics

with boger´s own developed and ITU-compliant wideband-receiver "BO-35" you hold an universal and individual adjustable receiving-tool in your hands. Due to its fantastic technical qualities our "BO-35" can be used for civil and military purposes in the HF/VHF/UHF frequency ranges up to 9GHz.

Please find here a report of the excellent qualities of our wideband-reveiver "BO-35" and proposals for possible applications - even your requirements could be covered.

1. highest quality - because reconnaissance begins with reception

By using only high-quality components the wideband receiver can be used in adverse most adverse circumstances.

Highest sensitivity, 115dB dynamic, very high operating temperature and ITU-compliancy are only some technical features we would like to outline in the following lines, please notice also further technical details in the detailed data sheet.

Of course these quality characteristics are covered by all BO receiver variations.

1.1 high sensitivity with very high IP³

With our wideband receiver BO-35 (and all its variations) we are able to provide a receiving tool with very high sensitivity values of typical -115dBm up to -20dBm (with 10dB signal-to-noise-ratio) and simultaneously IP³-values of typical 20dBm for the frequency range of 10kHz-1.5GHz and typical 10dBm for the frequency range of 1.5GHz-3.5GHz measured with 25kHz test signal spacing.

Even in a scenario / spectrum with very strong transmitters, very weak signal can be received. Even the weakest signals can be supplied and forwarded for further signal processing and analysis. We reach this effect by using only high quality components.

1.2 115dB linear dynamic over the whole reception range

A very high linear dynamic of 115dB is another feature of our wideband receiver BO receiver range (in all variations), which can be achieved by using only high-quality components.

A linear dynamic of 115dB allows you to digitalize the 10MHz IF-Out Spectrum without compromises. Weakest signals can be supplied for further processing as well as very strong signals without getting problems with intermodulation. Due to high quality compantents by abandon on AGC (Automatic Gain Control) until IF-Out on 10.7MHz.

1.3 Max. operating temperature +70°C

With our wideband receiver BO receiver range you are enabled to get reception results up to +70°C without any losses regarding sensitivity, by the way: ITU-requirements are only until +45°C. We accomplished many trials in our own laboratories. Even vibration requirements can be met according MIL-Standards. Please contact us regarding your requirements, we will be able to meet also your requirements.

1.4 ITU-compliancy for monitoring receivers

Our wideband receiver BO receiver range meets all requirements for monitoring receivers according ITU-Standards. On the one hand this proves the excellent quality of our wideband receiver BO receiver range, on the other hand this fact expands the application possibilities of our wideband receiver BO receiver range on ITU-Measurement-Systems. Most of the requirements can be exceeded. Please contact us for detailed measurement-protocols.

2. applications-possibilities / almost no limitations

2.1 BO-35 / BO-90 Standard Configuration

The wideband receiver BO-35 ist the standard module of our BO receiver range. With a frequency range of 10kHz-3.5GHz, a switchable IF-Out on 10.7MHz (BW 10MHz) and 455kHz and controllable via USB or RS-232 serial port, this receiver is the most economical way for implementation in a reception system - while providing all above described quality characteristics.

The frequency extended version of this receiver, called BO-90 with a frequency range of 10kHz-9.0GHz is additionally equipped with an IF-Out on 70MHz (BW 30MHz) or 140MHz (BW 30MHz), which is the requirement for further analysis / decoding of signals.

2.2 BO-3500 / BO-9000 front-control receiver

Technically basing on the BO-35, but additionally equipped with a front-control panel ist the wideband receiver BO-3500. With a frequency range of 10kHz-3.5GHz, a switchable IF-Out on 10.5MHz (BW 10MHz) and 455kHz, controllable via USB or RS-232 serial port and additionally equipped with a front-control panel, this receiver is even usable by non-educated or less-educated staff - while providing all above described quality characteristics.

The frequency extended version of this receiver, called BO-9000 with a frequency range of 10kHz-9.0GHz is additionally equipped with a IF-Out on 70MHz (BW 30MHz) or 140MHz (BW 30MHz), which is the requirement for further analysis / decoding of signals.

2.3 LAN / IP / Audio

One of the most important options for system implementation / system integration is our LAN / IP / Audio option. Equipped with an IP-address our receiver is enabled to be controlled via LAN and to stream Audio via LAN to the system. This option is available for all variations of the BO receiver-range.

2.4 Digital / IQ / Option

With our digital I/Q-Option our receivers of BO receiver-range can be equipped with an additional digital IF-Output via USB or via LAN with selectable bandwidths. As digital IF-Output following bandwidths can be selected: 4MHz, 10MHz (as snapshot-mode) and 20MHz (as live-stream). Please check in the appendix, for which models these bandwidths are available.

2.5 Wide IF-Out Option

With our receivers of BO-receiver-range there are several IF-Outputs available. Beside the smallband IF-Output on 455kHz, there are 10MHz wide IF-Outputs on 10.7MHz and 30MHz wide IF-Outputs on 70MHz or 140MHz available.

2.6 RF-Recording Option

For laboratory use and extensive analysis of signals / emissions we developed a RF-recording tool. Combined with digital-option frequency-spectrums with a bandwidth up to 20MHz can be recorded for later extensive analysis. To save performance it is possible to cut certain signals for recording out of the wide frequency range.

2.7 Classifier Option

With our own developed signal-classification software Phoenix we are able to offer one of the most powerful available signal-classifier on the market. Upon customer requirement complete reception systems or single channels can be configured for signal-classification including automatic speech-recording.

2.8 SHF-Option (9GHz)

With our newests member in our receiver-range, the wideband receiver BO-90 we are able to supply state-of-the art reception technology - even in the SHF frequency range. With a standardized IF-Out (BW 30MHz) on 70MHz or 140MHz this receiver is ideally suited for decoding-applications as well as for monitoring-applications.
